Pentathlon Alberta (PA) is a volunteer-run non-profit society supporting clubs and athletes across the province. PA promotes and supports the sport of Modern Pentathlon through hosting & sanctioning events. As well as development of clubs, pentathletes, coaches and programs.

September 30th is both Orange Shirt Day, and Natio

September 30th is both Orange Shirt Day, and National Truth and Reconciliation Day in #canada

Today is a day to reflect and honour children, survivors, & family members who endured the Residential School system on these lands we inhabit. September 30 is a day to acknowledge the impacts of these systems on indigenous peoples. We hope for continued healing for these communities and a path forward towards reconciliation and understanding.

@cityofcalgary suggested these avenues for further understanding and involvement:

🟧 Educate yourself about Canada’s colonial history and its assimilation policies, including residential schools.

🟧 Read the White Goose Flying Report, which was developed to highlight Calls to Action outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that we will take action on. (calgary.ca/orangeshirtday)

🟧 Share how you’re commemorating the day & join the conversation in reconciliation with Indigenous communities. #OrangeShirtDayYYC

The past weekend weekend at the World Obstacle Federation Level 3 Coach Certification Training in Calgary was magnificent!

Obstacle is on the rise and will be an event of the Modern Pentathlon at the Olympic Games in 2028.
These Canadian pentathlon and obstacle coaches are now primed and will be certified as train-the trainers enabling them to certify other coaches to be Level 1 & 2 obstacle coaches.

Pentathlon Alberta is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote and support the sport of Modern Pentathlon. We support the growth of the sport by supporting athletes, hosting and sanctioning events, and by providing financial support to athletes & clubs.
